The decor and ambiance was very instagram-able. Though one would expect more tables be filled on a Saturday night at 6.30pm. Even though we were the only customers in the restaurant, we could barely hear each other over the gossiping between the wait-staff.
The food wasn’t bad but I would best describe it as a poor imitation of what you expect high class dinning to be.

Had a birthday lunch here with a friend of mine. The atmosphere is quite nice and the decor is instagrammable. The food was also quite nice.
We took lots of photos during our visit, because we wanted to have memorable birthday and as usual I do overall restaurant review for my social media platforms. But unfortunately, we experienced unpleasant service. The staff is quite rude. I've never experienced at all when I have to be rushed in any restaurants I've ever visited.
The staff many times tried to take away our meals when we didn't even finish it yet without asking whether we wanted it to be

Waiting staff come off as a bit standoffish and distant. Table was 20 mins late. The fish portion was absolutely pathetic. The upside to my experience was the chairs are very comfy, the dessert was really nice and the ac was very nice and cool the whole time. There's a nice garden at the back.

Beautifully decorated, friendly staff and nice food. Admittedly we were late for our booking and were aware of the 2hr seating limit. Those who arrived early had opportunity to order drinks. Was difficult to get staff attention to order drinks for those who came later. We were aware of the group menu due to having a large party. Main Dish was a choice between chicken or fish. Due to mix up one guest was asked of she wouldn't mind having the chicken despite ordering the fish. Side dishes arrived when we were 3/4 through the meal, and therefore 1/2 went to waste. Main dishes were lovely!

Great food and ambiance. Not sure what cuisine you'd call this but it's a little bit French, a bit Japanese, but whatever you wanna call it the food is delicious.
Service was excellent too, a little surprising to see a bunch of recent negative reviews regarding service. Our experience was quite the opposite - we were looked after by 3 different people at different times and all were friendly and attentive.
When I asked what the delicious base on the chocolate cheesecake was, the waitress asked the chef, then wrote down "langue de chat" on a piece paper, upon realising that her pronunciation was

All Looks, No Substance - When A Restaurant is Designed for The Likes
Chef and owner Perry Hill needs to realise that it only takes 1 visit to get the photos for Instagram and there is no reason for a second visit.
I made a booking at The Botanica to follow on from my visit at Sol Spa. Since we were running 10 minutes late, I call the restaurant 3 times to inform them to avoid the $35 per person cancellation fee, for which they already had my credit card details. Nobody picks up. When we arrive the staff member who greeted us laughs and admits they don't pick up the phone. Questionable behaviour

WOULD NOT RECOMMEND if you are after quality food and service.
1. We had a booking, yet we had to wait for roughly 20 minutes to get in

3. Although the waiter was friendly, he would benefit more from professional training. However, the waitresses were impatient when taking orders, did not smile at all.

An enjoyable spot to have lunch in a beautiful room.
I can see that some previous reviews mention that the staff are rude. This was not our experience at all! The staff were friendly, knowledgeable, and were excited to be opened again.
The food was ok for the price, some things could have been a bit more flavourful.
