My partner and I urgently needed accommodation for the night as we had locked ourselves out. Villa Marine was just around the corner and even though we thought we may be pushing our luck with such short notice, Peter was wonderful and gave us a room immediately.
I'm sort of sad we were only there for a night! What a surprisingly lovely spot! Surprising only because the exterior of the place belies what is inside the gate! A very comfortable, clean, and well appointed unit. Peter was a dream to deal with, the bed was comfy, the aircon was cool, and the surroundings so pretty.

Thank you for the response. Peter had asked what we were interested in when I requested brochures and as I have said we were not sure what Cairns had to offer so were limited to know what to ask for. We understand that covid has impacted many businesses however most businesses would make an effort to accommodate their guests.

Highly recommend Villa Marine, especially if travelling with pets. Staff were so welcoming to us and our dog. Rooms are clean, modern and spacious. The whole place was beautifully presented and very relaxing. Great location close to pet friendly restaurants and beach. Will definitely staying here again!

The location to the beach was close. The location of the Villas was close to everything, the shops, cafes & the beach. We didn't hear anything apart from the birds and there were seats outside where we stayed that just made us feel like we were in our own little slice of paradise. All these things were great but what made it the best experience for us was Peter and the team. Nothing was to much trouble and his local knowledge and contacts helped us with our needs to explore the reef & rain forest and have such an unforgettable experience. Couldn't recommend higher staying at Villa Marine.

My partner and I stayed here and we were amazed by the excellent service and beautiful presentation of this hotel. The owners were incredibly lovely and accommodating; we felt like we were at a home away from home. The rooms were very comfortable, and they had everything we needed. I couldn’t recommend this place more!

Our stay was excellent!! We were welcomed as family. Our purpose was to visit people in Cairns but honestly wanted to spend more time in the room relaxing. The service was exceptional but more so was their attention to detail and high standard of cleanliness. They observed,practiced and demonstrated responsible measures for COVID. I urge you to take a weekender at Villa Marine.

We only planned to stay for 4 nights but realised early we needed another night before arriving so we then extended, but after arriving we then stayed for a week and are so sad to leave tomorrow morning!
Villa Marine is a beautiful quiet place out of the hassle and bustle of the City of Cairns (and literally 5 minutes from the Smithfield Shopping Ctr that has everything and the Kuranda Range Skylift).
This beautiful place is amazingly quiet and the pool is so big and has a shallow area at one end which was lovely with the fountain.

Safe accomodation in Cairns, away from the virus. I am really happy I have chosen Villa Marine. It is a quite place, far away from crowds and totally safe in this stressful time. The beach is nice, quite and peaceful. The Villa let you relaxb without worries about the virus. Enjoy the beauty of the rainforest from a comfortable apartment and a great pool to scape from the hot weather.

Villa Marine is located in a beautiful setting and the beach is less than a 5 minute walk away. My room had 2 single beds and a queen size double with a romantic canopy. It was lovely and clean and had great amenities such as a pool. There was lots tourist information and Peter, the manager, is super friendly and helpful.

Villa Marina is a beautiful locally owned hotel with just a few rooms. We really enjoyed our stay in the nicely decorated rooms. The bed is really comfortable and the kitchen is well equipped. The hotel is in a really quiet neighborhood next to a forest, it was really nice to relax in the garden next to the pool.
It was a huge plus, that the complex had an amazing information center, where the manager told us about all the tours in Cairns and surroundings. He had an extensive knowledge about the diving safaris and had way better prices, then in the city center.
