Gold Coast Vet Surgery is proudly an independent, family owned and operated veterinary practice. Our vets and nurses are compassionate and committed to caring. We encourage further study and we regularly attend conferences and seminars so that we can continue to provide cutting edge medicine and surgery.
It was previously known as Gold Coast Small Animal Hospital and Clinic and was founded by Dr Ed Mintz. Originally in Audry Street, now downtown Surfers Paradise, Dr Mintz moved to the current premises (in Broadbeach on the southern outskirts of Surfers Paradise) that were purpose built as an animal hospital.
We are proud to offer our friendly and personal service for all your veterinary needs and look forward to welcoming you to surgery soon. At Gold Coast Vet Surgery we aim to provide as wide a range of services as possible, while not compromising our high quality care. Personal and individual service is what we are all about.
Gold Coast Vet Surgery has been servicing the entire Gold Coast region for over 32 years and is the 2nd oldest vet clinic on the Gold Coast. We are very conveniently located on the Gold Coast Highway just south of Surfers Paradise, on the border of Broadbeach.
With easy, free off-street undercover parking, as well as free street parking in Monte Carlo Avenue, the practice is very accessible with good road links for easy travel to and from the surgery.We therefore service a very wide range of areas of the Gold Coast, and even have clients who travel down from Brisbane to see us!

We will always make an effort to arrange an appointment on your preferred day - same day appointments are usually available. If you are no longer able to make your appointment, please phone and advise us so that it can be offered to another patient. Same day appointments are always made for critically ill animals.

This is the best vet practice on the gold coast - accredited - a big plus to give you confidence that standards matter but ultimately it's our pets who decide. Mimi our 18 yr old siamese X with kidney disease was seen promptly by Dr. Kevin so close to Christmas to help us with a plan to ensure she stays well. We are long-term clients of this practice and like so many others would travel long distances if needed for this team care - simply genuine & caring - absolutely treat our 4 x darlings like one of their own and that is hard to find.

After spending a large amount of money on treatment and being told information that was clearly not true. I had to re visit, a phone call later and discussion later the fee just over $100 not a problem, walked out today after the appointment with a bill of over $250 ??????, Why I asked ? And all of a sudden the vet is unavailable to answer? Not happy and still no answer

Rushed my cat, Coco, this morning and Laura was outstanding. Very professional, thorough and explained everything to me. Although she couldn't save Coco, Laura was so kind and nothing was too much trouble.
My only disappointment was no pensioner discount; anything would have been helpful with a $560 bill, just saying.

Unfortunately, I would not recommend this vet. Coming to Gold Coast Vet Surgery for approximately one year on a fortnightly basis has only seen the deterioration of my Kitten's health, resulting in respiratory distress and an admission to the Emergency Vet Service less then one week after attending this clinic.
Complete failure to identify feline asthma signs and symptoms without any recommendations of diagnostic tests or respiratory assessments carried out by the treating vet rather a prescription for antibiotics.
I would also note the very poor unprofessional behaviour of the owner through

In regards to our precious little boy Joe, our Guinea Pig, which you gave him back to us nearly dead, before we gave him to you he was still eating a little and was stronger and healthy. From advice from… better specialist vets Gold Coast Vet Surgery should advised me from not putting him under, at this time, only antibiotic would have been fine and saved him I am not a vet and I expect Gold Coast Vet Surgery to advise the best and safest option at this time. putting Joe under to check is teeth was the cause of his death as stated to us from exotic wildlife veterinarians who specialise in

This whole team is amazing with our animals. I recently had to lay to rest my 20yr old beloved cat Jasper and Dr Kevin was just so gentle, respectful, gave me time and didn’t rush us at all. I took my cat into get her matted fur around her neck dealt with Faith sat in the vet arms and let her tend to her matts oh my Goodness she was so relaxed as the nurse combed them out 1 by 1. there was no way that my cat would not do that for me . and being a long haired little miss i decided to have a lion cut for her so she was cooler i left her at the vet surgery and picked her up in the afternoon . If you want a vet that treats your fur baby with love and compassion as if your pet is there own then Go here you would be crazy not to i am so impressed at the kindness and professionalism that

We wanted only the best for our pug puppy's health, so we went to Gold Coast Vet Surgery. Not only is Doctor Kevin and Kristen amazing to deal with, they have nothing but love for their fur patients. The puppy obedience classes that run on Monday nights are educational, fun and incredibly helpful for first time puppy pawrents. If you want the absolute best care for your furbaby, we can't recommend this vet enough!!! 10/10!
