Your goals when selling your home is to create a sense which make people think they are at home. Front and rear yards, ensure they are tidy, including removal of all weeds, if needed give trees and shrubs a light prune. If you have pets make sure that all of their "business" is picked up. Take a look at your doors and windows and especially the front fence.
Don't leave your dirty laundry on the floor or your clean laundry in view inside the home. If you have childrens' toys in the backyard, make sure they are put away or placed neat and tidy. If you wish to have scented candles burning ensure you tell your agent that they are on and where they are located.
Leading up to the Auction day you should have a strong marketing campaign in place to attract as many buyers as possible. Usually an Auction campaign will run for four weeks. Some buyers may try and secure your home prior to Auction day by submitting an offer. You should discuss with your agent whether they feel the offer is in line with the market.

Katie Smith has been an absolute pleasure to deal with and the consummate professional we needed to have working on our behalf to sell our property. Natasha our property manager has been super responsive from day one. She replies to all our queries in a matter of minutes most of the time and actions on them straight away, no matter how big or small. She is very empathetic of our situation (we have a baby) and goes above and beyond to get whatever we need fixed done asap. I never experienced anything like this before and am extremely grateful for having her as our property manager. I think we are lucky for having caring landlords too.
