We will get you back in shape and feeling great so you enjoy motherhood and long term good health. Immediately post birth (vaginal or C-section) we do a light 'rehabilitative' workout focusing mainly on retraining the core and pelvic floor - if needed knitting the abs back together, and restabilising the pelvis and lower back.
We come to you and give you one on one time with an experienced trainer to design a program specifically for you and any health, fitness or nutrition goal or concern you have. Nutritional advice for weight loss or gain, insulin resistance and diabetes or general health. Assistance with recovery from surgery (hysterectomy, C-section, pelvic floor reconstruction).
One in four women in developed countries have polycystic ovarian syndrome. Symptoms of PCOS can occur at any age and involve the whole body. They include irregular periods, infertility, acne, facial or excess body hair, larger waist lines, mood swings and sleep disorders - the underlying cause is insulin resistance.

I would definitely recommend Rachel to anyone looking to exercise through and after their pregnancy. Rachel has helped me build strength for the birthing process and then regain it afterwards with highly tailored exercises and thoughtful care. She offers flexible times for small group training where you can take your child along to be looked after while you exercise in a fun environment with great people and kids. She is very encouraging and knowledgable and imparts that knowledge with clarity so you feel confident that the exercise that you are doing is going to help! Thanks so much Rachel!

Rachel has been training me for 8yrs. I trained at The Health Hub during both my pregnancies and continued training shortly after each birth. Rachel's experience and knowledge of training women pre and post natal is extensive and of a very high standard, it was in fact my obstetrician who first referred me to her. The Health Hub is a fun, positive and supportive environment to train in. Rachel makes it possible for us busy mums to get a fantastic work out while our babies and/or older kids are within sight and being very well looked after, they all love Rachel too.

I was first recommended to Rachel and the Health Hub through my chiroractor more than 10 years ago, as she had experience with exercise after injury and knew how to adapt exercises to suit. I found a new friend who understood what it was like to try and improve your strength, flexibility and toning. I had found going to the gym without any personal interaction didnt work for me. The group sessions on Monday and Thursday evenings after work suited me really well. I am back there now after many years break and its the same wonderful relaxed environment, that encourages you to do the work and improve

It's so much more than just a gym. Rachel is simply fantastic!
She was very helpful to keep me fit throughout my pregnancy and to recover and get back to shape after my son was born. She really knows what she is talking about and is always very welcoming. It's great that I can take my son with me and still get a full hour of exercise.

Rachel has trained me for the past 7 1/2 years and has seen me through two pregnancies. She is warm, and friendly as well as being an incredibly experienced trainer. I have found the small group sessions to be a great way to keep fit and meet other Mum's while our children play. If you are looking for a welcoming, fun, family-friendly, non-intimidating environment in which to get fit then I highly recommend The Health Hub.

I can't recommend Rachel highly enough. She is extremeley professional and knowledgeable and, from my first visit while 3 months pregnant, I have always felt safe and supported (and challenged!) when training with her.
My visits, now with young child in tow, are the perfect way to start the week and I've come to love the community that is The Health Hub.

Rachel is lovely and looks after people at all levels of fitness. She finds out what each client is looking for - to ease back in, to push hard - and matches that tempo. If you want a trainer who screams a lot, she's prob not for you. If you want someone intelligent who gets why different people exercise and why particular exercises work, she's perfect.
