Adult Yoga Classes are for beginners through to intermediate and include classical yoga postures, breathing techniques, relaxation and meditation. The postures increase strength and flexibility and the breathing and relaxation helps relieve stress and anxiety. The emphasis is on bringing the body back to balance both physically and mentally.
Trauma Sensitive Yoga is researched method of yoga suitable for people with trauma - from generalised anxiety and depression through to complex trauma and PTSD. This class combines Trauma Sensitive Yoga with iRest Meditation which is also a well researched protocol to help treat symptoms of trauma, anxiety and depression.
Learn to completely let go. Restorative Yoga is a deep practice where postures are held for up to 10 mins. It's not about flexibility and strength so we use lots of props to support us. However, it releases emotional, stress and tension stored in the body, so you will move forward in your strength, stamina and flexibility - both mentally and physically.
Yoga for kids is a gift that will strengthen and sustain children physically, mentally and emotionally and provide invaluable tools they will use for the rest of their lives. Our classes are small and therapeutic and teach kids to love and accept themselves as they are and to use their breath to manage their emotions and nervous system.
In Mums & Bubs Yoga we focus on re-connecting with our bodies. We concentrate on strengthening the pelvic floor and core muscles, enhancing mum's energy levels and releasing tight shoulders and upper backs caused by endless hours of holding baby and breastfeeding. We also focus on using the breath to relax.
