Services
Several principles of the Pilates Method underpin a collection of structured exercises tailored to meet the needs of the individual. The development of a 'mind/body' connection is achieved by concentrating on breathing, control and precise movements. The exercises are performed with the emphasis on quality of movement which brings greater results than hours of exhausting, forced, repetitive exercises.
Our first goal is to help you build body awareness; to arm you with the tools to assess, evaluate and intervene so that your body and mind continually progress toward more functional movement, in the Studio and in your daily life. At Surry Hills Pilates, we understand the challenges of learning a new way to exercise that requires a mind/body connection.
William is the Principal Instructor and owner of the Surry Hills Pilates Studio. William is a qualified APMA Level 4 Pilates Practitioner. He has been practising Pilates for more than 20 years and has been an instructor in the method since 1993. William also holds a BA Hons (Psych) degree and has spent many years exploring the mind/body connection.
If you are more than 20 minutes late you may be unable to do the session or be required to complete a shortened session. Payment is by cash, cheque, direct debit or credit cards (MasterCard, Visa and American Express). All session blocks are non transferrable and expire after 3 months without use or prior arrangement.
