We are a fully equipped Pilates studio located in the heart of Erskineville, Sydney, and we offer a range of mat and studio Pilates classes taught by our highly qualified and experienced team. Group mat classes follow a sequence of exercises that will strengthen and tone your entire body, and are suitable for everyone.
Why not start with a Pilates mat class blast, just $45 for two weeks of unlimited classes? Studio sessions offer a more personalised approach, with no more than three people per instructor. They are specific workouts using traditional Pilates equipment and apparatus tailored to your body's unique needs.

The MG in mg Pilates stands for Movement Guidance. Our bodies have an incredible range of movement, and, if trained properly, can truly surprise us. Rarely, however, are they strong, stable, well aligned and optimised to their full potential. Injury, illness, inactivity, childbirth - there are plenty of reasons why our bodies might not be strong enough to achieve what we want from them.
The Pilates technique (or method) is a low impact workout suitable for all levels that lengthens and stretches all the major muscle groups in a measured way. It improves flexibility, strength, balance and body awareness and focuses on strengthening the core (abdominal muscles) while balancing the muscles to create better alignment.
I started Pilates to try and help with a permanent back injury I have and also with a new family on the way I needed all the help I could get. Since doing the classes at MG with Roula I have learnt to move muscles I hadn't used in years. But most importantly it has allowed me to be able to pick up and play with my growing children.
Our instructors have over 100 years of experience between them, and have worked all over the world. Each has a profound reason for teaching Pilates, from the desire to help our clients recover from injury and achieve long-held goals, to a passion for the practice. Most of our practitioners have complementary training in physiotherapy, massage, sports therapy and rehabilitation, and many have long histories as dancers and athletes.
Susie trained as a Pilates Instructor in 1996 after practicing the Pilates Method for 4 years as a client. She has over 20 years experience as a practicing physiotherapist, having worked in both London and Sydney in the public hospital and private systems. Susie runs regular lectures in injury prevention and integration of the Pilates Method into Injury/Pathology Management for various Pilates teacher training courses.

The instructors are excellent and facilities both superbly equipped and in good condition. Classes have plenty of variety but the evening ones can get over crowded. The Mums and Bubs workout is great fun but be aware you'll need to get bub up a flight of stairs - the whole facility is on the first floor.
