Coming from an Indian heritage and ethnicity, easing into the traditional Yoga practice was comfortable and fulfilling. The journey may have begun many years back, but we still continue to walk the path, learning and sharing, as the joys and mysteries of this priceless way of life unfold each day. I was drawn to yoga out of a deep personal interest.
M Yoga is a home based yoga center, which aims at sharing the benefits of the path of Yoga with people from all walks of life. M Yoga will take you on your own personal journey, letting you explore the possibility of bringing about a balance between the body, mind and spirit. The essential balance or connection between the three is what leads one to a healthy body, an inner calm and possibly a glimpse of one's true self.
What to wear - It's best to wear clothing that's loose, comfortable or stretchy, for easy movement. Tight fitting clothing will restrict your movements. Eating - Yoga should be practiced on an empty stomach, please leave at least a 2 hour gap between a meal and a yoga session, or a 1 hour gap if a light snack or liquid has been consumed.
The great sage Patanjali gave to mankind 196 aphorisms which are known as the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali. It is here that the system of Ashtanga Yoga is mentioned. Ashtanga in Sanskrit means - 8 limbs, where Asht means Eight, and Anga - means Limbs. Yoga is thus not just a set of mere physical postures, it is not a religion, but rather a path to the art of right living, a system which leads you into a state of well being.
We have both been going for two months now with the two of us achieving the results we were looking for. Shaila and Sheryl are both very caring and professional ladies that are helping us find something within ourselves that neither of us new we had. We started off slowly with a few simple exercises and balancing positions with both ladies being very mindful of each individuals capabilities.
