The studio is warm and community-based with a focus on quality education, individual attention and real results. The studio attract a wonderful mix of local residents, visiting Pilates and Barre lovers and a range of celebrities looking to improve their on-field or on-screen performances. All of our Pilates and Barre instructors are highly trained, and share a genuine passion for what they do.
Balance Moves is the home of Barre Attack. Created by Renee Scott (the owner of Balance Moves) Barre Attack is a unique combination of Pilates, dance and fitness that will help improve your posture and balance, improve your strength and flexibility and tone your tummy, butt and legs. It is a high intensity, low impact workout that is challenging but super rewarding.
At Balance Moves, we're all about hands on personal attention, and there's no better way to experience this than through one of our private Pilates sessions in our boutique Bondi Studio. We cater to many local residents, visitors and foreign and domestic celebrities via individual and duet sessions and pride ourselves on fitting into your life - our expert instructors are available six days a week, early til late!
Renee is the Founder & Director of Balance Moves. A former dancer with the Hamburg Ballet, she started Pilates to maintain her fitness and focus outside of dancing. She is a master Pilates Instructor and certified under Joseph Pilates' renowned disciple, Romana Kryzanowska.
She is a principal trainer with the Pilates Alliance and also holds certifications in Pilates International, Balanced Body, the elite BASI Passing of the Torch mentor program, and Power Pilates.Renee is also the Founder & Director of Barre Attack, Australia's premier Barre Method. Caring and passionate Renee's classes are challenging, inspiring, and tailored to the individual.

We attended a series of virtual pilates sessions with Renee during the COVID lockdown and they were absolutely brilliant! Renee was very professional, the classes were pitched at the right level and suitable for all abilities. We look forward to the studio re-opening so we can attend in person. Thank you Renee!

I've been coming to Balance Moves for several years now, and love the classes and the way they are taught! My personal favourite is Barre Attack (especially taught by Holly!), which is always intense and leaves me feeling like I've had a really good workout. I also love popping into an Arc Pilates class, which is great for someone like me with a history of back and hip alignment issues.

Balance Moves is my go-to workout studio. Home to the sweat-inducing Barre Attack, and with a great variety of other classes focusing on your Core, TRX and strength, pilates and alignment, I cancelled my gym membership after I tried the Intro pack here. Trainers also also really attentive and make you work hard!

I've been a Pilates devotee for 10 years. I started coming to Balance Moves last year to try the Barre Attack classes. I'm completely addicted!!! Renee and her fantastic team of instructors are knowledgeable, expert and passionate about their work. I feel fitter and stronger since going to Balance Moves. Love it!!

After years of doing yoga and suffering numerous aches and pains my Physio suggested I try Pilates. I started off doing basic mat classes and have worked my way up to doing Barre Attack (or as I fondly call it Heart Attack) and Core Attack. After 4 years of regular classes and at the ripe old age of 43 I finally feel like I am in control of and comfortable with my body. Renee and her team of amazing instructors (Holly, Gosia, Carolina) are all wonderful, it doesn't matter what level you're at, they are constantly watching and improving your technique. Now I'm too scared to stop as I'm convinced
