Rolling Hills Preschool is a warm and nurturing environment where each child is valued for the person they are and will grow to become. We offer a play based kindergarten program, with experiences that foster each child's sense of imagination, connection and wellbeing. At Rolling Hills Preschool children can pursue their sense of wonder whilst exploring the playground that is nestled amongst the beautiful old trees that characterize the suburb.
We welcome parents to be a part of their child's education through joining in the classroom experience as parent helpers, and being part of the committee. We offer a quality 15 hours per week 4 year old kindergarten program with an option of attending two full days or two half days and a full day. Our 3 year old program is run over two half days a week for a total of 6 hours.

Services
Rolling Hills Pre-school has been delivering Early Childhood Education Programs since 1986. We are registered with the Department of Education and Training (DET) and are governed by the Education Care Services National Regulations 2011. A Committee of Management, made up of parents who are elected annually at the Annual General Meeting, runs Rolling Hills Pre-school.
My name is Sian Pearson. I began teaching at Rolling Hills Preschool in 2018. I have been working with children since 2001 and have been a kindergarten teacher since 2008. I have worked in a variety of sessional kindergartens in the eastern suburbs of Melbourne. I love working with children and their families and seeing the amazing learning that occurs during the kindergarten years.
Management of Rolling Hills Preschool rests with the voluntary Committee of Management. This Committee consists of parents whose children are enrolled at the pre-school. Being part of the Committee enables parents to be involved in the planning and decision making process of the Preschool and ensures that their child receives the highest quality care and education.
In 2021 we will be running a total of 4 groups each week: Three Preschool groups (Blue, Green and Orange Group) & one 3 year old group (Red Group). Below is some information regarding each of the groups. This is the funded preschool program that is offered for the full 15 hours per week. The children during that time are working towards the overall goal of 'being ready and equipped for a successful transition to schooling and future education'.
At Rolling Hills Preschool we follow two Curriculum Frameworks to inform and support our practice and philosophy; the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and the Victorian Early Years Learning and Development Framework (VEYLDF). The EYLF is based around the idea that a childs life is childcterised by belonging, being and becoming.
