Here at the Bakeshop we believe in creating a strong sense of community. There's nothing we love more than finding ways to help our neighbour out.

In what's been a strange and difficult period for our community we've found bringing people together through our love for food has helped create the shop we have today. I just had an almond croissant from here that was probably the best one I've had IN MY LIFE! So crunchy on the outside, perfectly soft inside and just the right balance of buttery and sweet flavours.

Egg & Bacon in a new spring jacket. Open pasture, organic scrambled eggs & spring onions laid down on streaky bacon, cheddar cheese & a killer chipotle mayo all on a milk bun. A classic we think we've gotten pretty darn perfect. Using Stockinpiggle's local regeneratively farmed ham, goey maasdam cheese & dijon wrapped in a house made croissant.

I ADORE this place. their coffee is the best coffee northside (imo), their cakes are unique and delicious, the space always smells divine, and the people who work there are super lovely. i go there every weekend now, usually twice. thank you <3

Exaggerating prices ! I took long black and the cup was half full after paying 5$ for it ! Besides that I waited 20 min and my food never came , I need to go back to the cafe and ask refund ! Waste of my time and patience.

Really nice chai lattes, friendly staff and amazing almond croissants that are not smothered with almond essence like the typical common ones. Cosy vibe with lots of nice preserves etc you can buy too

Almond croissant had good amount if filling in the middle but almost nothing on both edges, plus a little on dry side. Might have been better toasted at home but was still a great quality pastry. Noticed afterwards that I was charged $6 instead of $5.50 so feeling a bit cheated :(

These people are amazing. Went above and beyond to get a birthday delivery to our daughter, who lives a long way from NZ, even with a handwritten card! She was delighted- and reported the pastries were delicious. Thank you again! We look forward to visiting the bakehouse in person one day.

Been coming here since early 2017: delicious and consistent service and food. Fabulous coffee from Seven Seeds and their ciabattas are a weekend favourite. Gotta get in early though, they usually sell out quick.

Tried Northcote Bakeshop for the first time and wish I had sooner. I’ve gotta go back to try the sweets but the savoury Vegemite scroll is we a nice starting point. Unlike scrolls I’m used to, it’s more crispy than doughy like a savoury croissant. The coffee and service are also both great!

I drive past the bakery every morning at 6:30am. There is a soft light coming out of the shop and people in and out getting bread an coffee. It looked very inviting. So today, on my day off I went in. Yum yum yum. Can’t wait to go back.

Used to love this place. However, recently wanted to place a regular order for a particular pumpkin loaf. Having made a trip there during the week, was advised that they only bake this on the weekends. Made another trip at the weekend to be informed abruptly and rudely by the manager that they only sell it to cafes and won’t take orders from customers. I have been a regular customer here for 3 years, and don’t feel like like going back again.
