Ordered a 10" Lemon Tart for a special occasion, cost was $73, so was expecting a lovely French style Lemon Tart. What we got was a very good pure custard tart without any lemon flavour at all. Not at all good when your wife wanted a great Lemon Tart for her birthday. It was pure custard and no flavour, not even a hint of lemon. Very disappointing and do not recommend at all.

Popped in a few days ago and the Vanilla slice was a bit bitter and quite dark compared to previous times i've tried it. usually this bakery is quite good but lately things aren't quite as good as they used to be. Young girl on the coffee machine made an excellent cafe latte. will come back but just for coffee

Been a few times to Bulleen French Lettuce now. This afternoon tried the apple and custard pastry and it was not fresh. It seemed tough and chewy, not the flakey pastry they are known for.
Last time I tried the breakfast burger around lunchtime. It was dry and had been sitting there for hours. I would suggest to discount the old food if not throwing away.
Today I had to mention the customer service was very poorly managed and slow. I ordered two large lattes and there were three customers in store, they made our lattes and left it on the counter. They did not call out the order, so naturally

So so lucky to have an amazing quality cafe in the area. Honestly they have beautiful quality coffees and even better are there fruit tartes (other sweets too I'm sure) Also staff are wonderful so they tick all boxes for an amzing cafe, will be a regular just for there sweets and I'm sure the fam will be hooked on their coffee. 1 other thing to mention is they close at 5pm!! Would you believe that one of the best cafe's in in Mel close at 5!

L am very disappointed with our very large purchases of pies, sausage rolls and finally there famous baked cheese cake this weekend. Firstly the pies and sausage rolls where very peppered and ineatable for children to eat. The baked cheese cake looked sensational but started serving the cake and noticed the middle of the cake was undercooked. We have purchased many items from the menu since it opened in Bulleen. We have never experienced this much disappointment with the above items.

Fantastic bakery and so lucky to have a store nearby. Huge range of bread, pastries, cakes and tarts, and savouries. Our highlights are the fruit or lemon meringue tarts, cheesecakes, and spinach rolls. Ordered a lemon meringue tart 8" $55 for a special occassion, easy to order and pay over the phone.

So excited that French lettuce opened in the East. Still far away for me but I was a big fan of the Carlton store and this is marginally closer. Cakes look amazing as expected. My favorite fruit tarts and cheesecake are as good as Carlton of not fresher. Heaps of staff working who were friendly and helpful on arrival. Worth the trip. Highly recommended!
