Braised Beef Ragu Pie $10 and Pork, Sage & Garlic Roll $9 were the best pie & sausage roll that we’ve ever tried and we’ve tried a fair bit of these from other places. The pastry’s so buttery & flaky, the meat filling’s generous & of high gourmet quality. It’s located in a nice little bakery/cafe in a leafy suburb. Definitely not cheap, but you get what you pay for.

A proper french bakery that is located in the heart of the city. Selling many great dishes such as pistachio doughnuts, sausage rolls, pies, and many more, this place is become my new favorite bakery in town. Although there aren't plenty seats but they do serve take away. Good taste, good price, good staffs.

First visit here all looked great walking up at 7:28am Saturday 4 people out front all talking how they open right on 730 not a second earlier. Such treatment of what appeared to be regulars needs to be addressed it's like we are a burden. One size coffee, come on we like choice not profit seeking one size strategies to make you drink more. The pastry was fine, coffee Luke warm when asked for extra hot and wanted to buy take away pastries etc but two serving with a big line they need more staff. A once only visit venue for me.

Magic, 3/4 Soy Lattes, Donuts filled with salted caramel... yep Movida Bakery is awesome.
Hiding around the corner from the start of chapel street, it is a nice little bakery for a small catch up. I am keen to try out the breads on offer the next time I visit, Gluten Free Bread is only available on the weekend and they do seem to run out of their sweet options quite quickly... so, GOOD LUCK!

Movida Bakery has now become our morning stop for fresh bread loaves. Every other day, we stroll down the street and pick up their classic sourdough or soy/lin, usually still fresh from the oven. They are crusty and heavy - heavy! - like fresh bread should be, and per a comment on Movida's instagram, are 100% natural.
A major highlight, though, is the fruit loaf: a dark, dense rectangle packed with pistachios, dried apricots, currants and other flavorsome fruit. Not to be missed.

Pretty great vibe for this end of Chapel. Coffee is guaranteed delicious (although note there is no large size) and the baked treats (salted caramel doughnuts, rhubarb pasties just for starters) are great. If you are lucky you may catch a cameo appearance of Frank Camorra. The staff always seem to be standing a little bit taller when this occurs!

Been wanting to try this place for ages. I tried the famed sausage roll, chicken and leak pie, caramel doughnut and bought a loaf of rye grain bread. The warm stuff was ok but nothing to write home about. The pastry was soggy was not flaky at all. Very pricey for the portions and quality. Overrated.
