The Davies family has been in the baking industry for over 130 years. Our founder JOHN DAVIES was known as a conscientious, generous and hardworking man, with a passion for high quality bread. Today, we are 5th generation bakers and one of the largest Australian bakeries.

We have a modern manufacturing plant, capable of producing large volumes of high quality bakery products - fresh product delivered daily across Victoria and frozen product across Australia.I cant resist to compliment you for a superior product. Well done. The Hot cross buns I purchased at ( a National Grocery Retail store) in Perth, were the best I had in a long time.

In 1880 JOHN DAVIES began by delivering bread by day and learning to bake at night from German baker, Mr Louis Trobler, at Talbot near Ballarat during the gold rush era. In 1885, when Mr Trobler retired, JOHN DAVIES was able to buy the bakery. Gold around Talbot declined and in 1894 John sold the business and moved to Ballarat, where he purchased a bakery in Eureka St.
We supply a substantial range of bakery products including white, wholemeal, multi-grain, hi-fibre white & wholemeal, rye, soy & linseed, fruit loaf, crumpets, english muffins, bread rolls and pita bread. Our packaging has been applauded by expert packaging sites as some of the most stunning bread packaging in the world.
The DAVIES BAKERY manufacturing facilities are among the most modern in Australia, equipped with both bread and pastry lines - some capable of producing up to 20,000 units per hour. We also have extensive experience and capability in providing frozen variants of our products. DAVIES BAKERY is both HACCP and SQF 2000 certified.

I worked at a School whose canteen stocked Davies light rye bread. It truly is the best bread for taste and texture. I wish I knew where to buy this bread.

Love to work in Davies Bakery, Owner is very good man. Me as casual worker for a few years ago, but don't have an opportunity to be permanent staff. I think, because I am NOT INDIAN. I can seen, all INDIAN have a good opportunity there.
Davies Bakery looks like little India.

Worst place iv ever seen. Mr Davies is really under paying everyone from production workers to tradesman. I felt as tho I was in India, struggled to communicate with production. Would strongly recommend no one purchase there product as hygiene seen was at a very low level
