Starting out as a one-man operation, after almost 6 decades of operations, we are now one of the largest independent bread distributors in the Melbourne metro area. Founded by Antonio and Caterina Cristiano in 1962, we're a family-owned business built from humble origins. Starting life as a one-man band, Antonio kick started the business by purchasing loaves of bread from a local bakery and making deliveries direct to homes in the Glenroy area.
In 1960, Antonio purchased land in Glenroy and began building our wholesale bakery. Once completed in 1962, the first staff were employed, and Antonio's dream had become a reality. In 1988, after outgrowing our original premises, we moved to a new and larger purpose-built building in Blenheim St, Glenroy.

We are HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point) and Spotless certified by SAI Global. Currently, we do not have plans to obtain ISO certification, but we do "borrow" elements from the GFSI-endorsed international food safety standards, such as BRC Global Standard for Food, to ensure a robust HACCP-based food quality and safety system.

An incredibly tasty selection of bakery classics. High-quality goods (you MUST try the sausage rolls!), and excellent customer service. It's one of the good things that have come out of this pandemic - I can now order from Glenroy Bakery and have it delivered straight to my door. I'm a very happy return customer.

I thought that the Glenroy Bakery had a retail outlet and so while I had checked out their products, I thought I could just walk in and buy some savoury products. They have a delivery area where they will delivery for free if your order is over $50. But I was outside that area so I turned up instead. When I saw that there was no retail outlet, I jumped online, ordered my products and put in 3046 as the delivery suburb which allows the order to be picked up. Paid by PayPal, then called up the reception where Connie picked up the products ordered and gave it to me outside. An important note. They

I have been the Canteen Manager at St Bernards College for over 9 years. We have always ordered from Glenroy Bakery for as far back as I can remember. We have had many companies try to try to persuade us to change but we have no problems or reason to change. Always friendly, customer service excellent.
