St Francis Winery Resort is a 41-suite property, The Resort is situated on 5 acres overlooking Lake Carew Reynell and built around the circa 1852 winery building. Reynella is the site of the first grape vine plantings in South Australia and the original winery building was built by Walter Reynell after which the township was named. Attend a family wedding here yesterday. Despite the COVID function constraints the service staff and catering team were exemplary in their efforts and in the range and quality of the food served. Highly recommended.

Pokey, small, smelly, old room. Traffic noise. No fresh air (no open windows). 3.5 star is generous. Poor bedding. Smelly, damp bathroom. Reception staff ignored us on arrival for ages.

Everything was ok other than the fact the entertaining room 20 metres from the room was hosting a wedding and had their music and party going until 12am. Maybe check there's no events on before booking a stay here. Especially if you need to get up early the next day.

Only used the function facilities and not the rooms. The bar staff were rude and unwelcoming. They made the night unenjoyable. They didn't even let the song end for our 50th

The facade is very nice, but then you walk into the accommodation. Very dated and drab. The bed was the worst I have slept in (way to soft) the cupboards needed to be repaired, no bedside tables, no table and chairs and a picture on at least one if the walls would give it some colour, one of the lights was blown, the phone was sitting under the TV on a small table..and some of the staff were quite surly when we asked for more milk and would not speak to us unless we had a mask on..socially distancing was in play here.
Highly recommend you pick up your game. For the money we paid for our 3 night

Charming leafy setting amongst large plane trees and native birdlife. Large tranquil pond and wetland area is home to various species of ducks, water birds and thousands of frogs. Wonderful biodiversity. Tidy, mostly clean room good for a night's stay but in need of some upgrading. Clean linen and modern bathroom. Double bed is on coasters and spring mattress of average quality. Quiet room with double glazed windows which blocks out noise from main road. Indoor swimming pool. Friendly efficient staff. Close to supermarket and restaurants. Overall good value.

Thought they had lovely staff, great rates, just needs the rooms to have an upgrade but will never go there again as were never told we could pay bond in cash and the bank and them are blaming each other for not releasing our bond. Staff swearing whilst setting up in the next room on check in and other guest were complaining of ants in their room.
WILL NEVER STAY THERE AGAIN

If i could give zero stars, that would be too good. We had booked through booking.com, which said id and credit card required for check in, perfectly normal (expedia says exactly the same). Having waited for several minutes to be assisted, unpleasant receptionist asked for both items. IDs presented, Irish drivers licence and Arizona licence NOT acceptable, must be Australian. Points to sign on counter, "it's company policy, Passport required." No apology, just grumpily pointing to the sign. We don't carry our passports when traveling around, they're in the safe at

Stayed last night for our friends wedding
NEEDS A RENO STAT!!
Was disappointed with our room. Paid to upgrade to the executive suite with the double spa..
Carpets were disgusting! Room smelt old, light switch hanging out, door handle broken, bathroom looked filthy.. and that was just our room
The wedding venue also could do with a spruce up! The toilets were disgusting! And the cubicles are so short you can almost watch each other pee
Food was actually alright :)
But the wait staff is another story!
We where given a broken jug and I returned it as it had open cut glass... only to have it returned

This is the first time our dinner group have said that no one would come back here, menu look good but food could only be described as very average. Several key ingredients described on the menu not even present on the plate and when asked why "we just didn't put it in tonight "Try changing your menu so it describes your meal , don't think that's too much to ask for. As for the service, what service, the best thing about the service is we didn't have the chance to order more so it cost us less for the night. Had to hunt someone down just to order desert, as for extra
