We have been part of the Darlinghurst community since 1984 when our original clinic opened at 407 Bourke St (formerly known as 407 Doctors). From our humble beginnings (above the Greek cake shop) with just 2 doctors, we have grown into a team of 15 doctors, 3 nurses, 2 psychologists, allied health practitioners and an international medical research team.
All our doctors and staff share the philosophy of providing high quality, caring health care for all patients. We are also committed to providing education for medical students, medical registrars and contributing to medical research. Our current location has been an art gallery for many years and our waiting room is a contemporary art space with regular exhibitions of local artists.

Michaela offers a non-judgmental and supportive environment where clients can feel safe to address whatever challenges they are facing. Using evidence-based treatment, she tailors therapy to the particular needs and experiences of each individual and creates a supportive collaborative partnership between herself and her clients.
Dr Chris Davis has been working as a full-time GP since gaining his MRCGP in 2007 via Kings College Hospital. He was a Clinical Lead in Substance Misuse and Alcohol and a partner in a large inner city London practice for many years before emigrating to Sydney in 2014. Chris continued his studies as a post-graduate and has gained Diplomas in Child Health, Sexual Health and Substance Misuse.
Dr Linda Dayan is a Sexual Health Physician and General Practitioner who also has an interest in cosmetic medicine. She has been providing HIV care for over 30 years, and has worked for many years in women's health, sexual health and has been providing cosmetic injections since 2006. Dr Dayan graduated from the University of Tasmania in 1984 before moving to NSW in 1986.
Dr Brad McKay is an experienced Family Doctor who moved from Melbourne and joined the team at East Sydney Doctors. He started studying Medicine at Monash University when he was just 16 years old and he was qualified as a Doctor by the age of 21. In 2013 he became a Medical Expert and Host of the Logie-Nominated television programme 'Embarrassing Bodies Down Under'.
Marilyn started general practice work in Darlinghurst just when Kinsela's changed from being a funeral parlour to an entertainment venue. The HIV pandemic came to notice at about the same time. Providing care for those affected by HIV became a major part of her work and from 1991 to 1993, she was President of the Australasian Society for HIV Medicine.

I've had my fair share of dodgy GP's, and finding East Sydney Doctors was a godsend. Every single doctor I have ever seen here has been extremely professional, eager to help and empathetic . This is the first GP where I have had my issues taken seriously. They run late sometimes, but they've always made up for it with appointments that are thorough and not in any way rushed.

I was referred to see dr insley first couple times I went was the best doctor I've ever seen an I've seen lots,she made me very comfortable helped with my depression an anxiety plus removed my corns on feet but last time I went I was about disappointed as after covid injection my eye sight went very blurry an I've lost 10 kilos an she said it ain't from injection do you need get second I was like well please do blood test an for my 5 minutes I was in there , my appointment was 3:330 but didn't get seen till 4 then had to wait 40 minutes for blood to be taken an when I sat down lady asked my name

Always professional and friendly. Recommended by my previous GP who moved overseas. East Sydney Doctors has specialist GPs who go out of their way to care. I've now been going there for 5 years and never been happier. I have chronic illnesses and Ercel who sees me most is amazing.
I see some negative reviews from people who complain about wait times but during this Covid19 pandemic the receptionists have been under enormous pressure. Try and put yourselves in their shoes. I can't find any benefits or special treats from this private medical centre.
Patient is the just money for them
This is how I got the Referral from this Medical centre.
1. Meeting GP and get a test- $90
2. Test result meeting- $90 (after the meeting Dr mentioned it he is going to give me the referral anytime)
3. Phone call consultant for 2 mins to get the referral - $90 (I complained and they gave $20 off)
Also, I got the phone call from the reception again after a few days, They want to charge again $90 for mystery consultant fees. So I say I didn't have any other consultants then the reception

I needed a cyst cut away on my neck and found this clinic via google search. This is the only GP clinic that I could find in Sydney that has someone who does this procedure in-house. Dr Nicholson performed the excision professionally with zero hassle. I’m very happy to have found this clinic and Doctor and I highly recommend.

Update: haha oh my. I left this clinic a year ago because there were just too many issues.
Now, a year later it is still bad. This time, I call — 6 minutes on hold... no answer.
I call the bondi sister clinic to see if east Sydney is closed, they say no just try to keep calling.
I call again... 5 minutes on hold... reception answer “thanks for holding how can I help” “hi”.. then they hang up...”
“Try to call again... on hold for 5 minutes and gave up.”
