We are a child-safe organization, with the rights and best interests of children at the forefront of all we do. We engage in reflective practice, are committed to continuous improvement, and strive to expand our knowledge and understanding. We support children's wellbeing, individual needs, diversity and perspectives through listening to their voices.
Sessional 3 and 4-year-old kindergarten in Highett with extended care until 5:30pm every day. We know that starting kinder is a big step for every child, so we prioritise their emotional needs and social skills to make them feel valued and safe. Early childhood is a unique and valuable stage of development, which is enhanced through an inclusive, play-based learning environment.
Thanks for your interest. We know the process can be a bit daunting if you haven't done it before, so we're here to help. All enrolments must be completed through the Bayside Council central enrolment system, and we are unable to enrol your child directly through our kinder. Before you begin, please check that your child meets the age requirements, as your child must have turned three before they can start kindergarten.
A play based learning environment is the most appropriate context for young children to learn, engage and make sense of their social world. Children require opportunities to discover, create, imagine and improvise through play. When children play with other children, they create social groups, try out ideas, challenge each other's thinking and build new understandings.
