In 2017 Raisin' Bakery brings a fresh approach to the Perth food scene, offering a delicious French-Japanese fusion of breads and baked goods that are created onsite through a unique fruit based fermentation technique. This technique is known as "Ten'nen kobo" in Japanese, which directly translates as "wild yeast bread".

It is a twist to the normal sourdough starter, involving the use of various kinds of wild yeast cultivated from our choice of dried fruit, raisins. This special technique gives our wild yeast bread its unique and characteristic aroma, taste and crust - served direct to you in our vibrant Shenton Park home.

Awesome spot. Breakfast meals well priced, presented great, good sized serves full of flavour. Treats and baked goods are spot on too, best cinnamon scroll I've had, almost too good! Don't drive past this one. Seating a bit limited if that helps you planning ahead.

Delicious and creative menu, mild coffee, reasonably priced, baked treats look delicious. Free parking, cute Japanese Cafe atmosphere. Highly recommend the tea cured salmon. Definitely coming back to try more dishes and adopt a croissant or 2.

Great cake and service. I ordered a cake for a friendโ€™s birthday and had to pick it up very early. They had it ready and arranged for an early pick up. The cake (black forest) was amazingly delicious.

It was my favourite when it first opened. Haven't been back for a while. Today stopped by for morning tea. Noticed a few new items, including cakes. Matcha cake has nice texture. It's light. However it's too sweet for my taste and the matcha flavour was not prominent. Hubby had cinnamon scroll. Also too sweet. The biggest let down was the coffee. It's bitter and burned. I think it's over brewed.

I absolutely love the cinnamon rolls here. I would highly recommend paying this place a visit and testing out a cinnamon roll for yourself.
I've tried quite a number of their pastries, but I have to say, their cinnamon rolls take the cake ;)
Overall: The best CINNAMON ROLLS!!

Bring an empty tummy to this little slice of pastry goodness. This is not a gluten-free treat place, however, my digestive system seemed fine. The parking, location and staff - two thumbs up ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ

A small and quaint bakery with decent coffee. I enjoy coming here when ever I am in the area. Self pick pastry display in the middle of the store adds a touch of difference to the normal cafes around. The matcha bun for $2 represents great value.
Bar seating with an open view to the bakery operations and production is a great spot to sit if you're interested in seeing the products being made, otherwise there's other seating options available albeit limited to a few small groups... nevertheless an enjoyable visit.
