Great dumplings and reasonably priced. Fresh and tasty. I usually order pan friend vegetarian dumpling. Comes with a dipping sauce. Delicious!

The food here is so good! The Shredded Beef with Peking Sauce is one of their best dishes. The texture is soft, but almost crispy. It's wild. The flavour is powerful though, so get a Chinese broccoli or something without a strong flavour profile to pair with it. The Pan-Fried Pork Dumplings and the Steamed Wonton with Szechuan chilli sauce are also worth trying. If you pay cash you get a 10% discount and they give you a free bowl of prawn chips when you eat in.

The food here is awesome, my favourite is the soy rice have been here many times and always fantastic. Staff are lovely. Only Good things to say about Tao.

Very rude customer service. As soon as I entered from the door the waitress at the till was bothered for no reason. She was murmuring something. I personally felt very bad. Food was good but the customer service made me feel worst. Guys don't go to eat there. They are racist.

The food is good but the delivery times is absolutely terrible. The average time for delivery on uber is 65-75 mins when ordering but really it actually takes on average over a hundred minutes to get your food. We have regularly ordered at 6.15-6.20 and been told food will be there by 7.20-7.25. food regularly arrives after 8 each time. They should not be accepting orders that they can not deliver and for the second time in a row my food has arrived cold. Thankfully uber eats gives you a full refund.
To summarise this restaurant greed means they accept more orders then they can deliver and us

Ordered the beef and vegetarian dumplings through delivery, both were excellent and with hearty servings. The spicy chilli and soy sauce were excellent and made the sharing nice too. Definitely recommend for ordering, and I'll be dining in once things open up!

Had it last week here in early December 2020. Ordered pork dumplings is great taste and juicy. Love it when u can taste gingers flavor in the dumpling stuffing make it tastier. The braised pork belly pot was an awesome ...the pork cuts nicely cubicle rectangle and most importantly is the fats and leans are so balanced the taste or simply put 35% fats perfect for this pork belly dish. And is best to served with rice to eat it together.
The little dragon steamed buns....well....not really much to say..just an ok only.

10/10 for bringing the dumpling joy into Northcote, badly needed ... thank you!
Although it's becoming like a monster franchise with South Yarra, Camberwell and Northcote restaurants are now serving Melbournians, they do serve good dumplings, definitely value for money ... coupled with good and reasonable wines and attentive, very pleasant service, what could go wrong ... since its opening night, we, about 24 of us go here every month is a testament to their food and service.
Again, thank you for bringing the dumpling joy to Northcote. JT-May 2019.
