Services
40 years strong and some of our members have been training with us for more than thirty! What do they love about the place? Hiscoes has a low key atmosphere, no-one parades around in tiny crop tops vying for your attention, or glares at you for using a machine they want to get on to. You won't be frowned upon for wearing an old baggy t-shirt and the staff will say hello to you with a smile.
Currently running outdoor sessions in Surry Hills and VPT (Virtual Personal Training via Zoom). Hiscoes Personal Trainers have a wealth of experience, in mobility, rehab, Crossfit, boxing, body transformation and power-lifting. VPT (VIRTUAL PERSONAL TRAINING): In your own home via zoom, we organise some equipment for you, and you meet with your trainer online.
Offering one-on-one personal training sessions to our clients, our multi award-winning personal training team offer a wealth of experience for over 30 years! Find out the passions and experience behind the Surry Hills based personal training team. Hiscoes head trainer, Jim O'Donovan has been in the business of personal training for over 30 years!

With a B.A. (Psychology & Sociology) (USYD), a Diploma of Professional Counselling (A.I.P.C) and training and experience as a crisis counsellor for Lifeline, her educational background has helped to create a strong basis to implement nutrition knowledge via health coaching.

There was over 400 COVID cases today, so it was really poor form seeing your trainers running group sessions in Surry Hills today, 7-8 people, trainer wearing no mask and wearing Hiscoes uniform, the owner has said it was a one on one session which is incorrect the red bearded trainer was standing in front training a GROUP. There is footage which has been passed on

Critical: Professionalism
Extremely disappointed with people that go to this gym. Arrogant squash players who think they own this play. A perfect place for bullying and people who think they are better than others. Be better humans first, i raised issue with manager. I hope some action has been taken

Hiscoes is probably the daggiest gym in Sydney. And this is why I love it.
At Hiscoes it's highly unlikely that you will come across any young, beefed up, oiled and muscley men doing bicep curls in front of a mirror, throwing you side glances to see if you're watching. It's also highly unlikely that you will feel the need to update your work-out clothes every month in order to maintain the trendy look of the gym. And whilst Hiscoes does have a committed community of regulars, it's highly unlikely that you will be running beside rippling 'Biggest Loser' trainers
