I booked through booking.com for my wife her 72 year old mother our 6 year old and 2 year old and my wife's sister. They were stuck in the city at close to midnight, I was 100km away and they urgently needed somewhere to stay, on arrival the gentleman at reception (Nathan) said they required ID for all parties, eventually this was able to be provided but then he required a credit card in my wife name, refusing to use the one I had provided because apparently there is something in the booking.com fine print that forbids this. I begged him to help out and allow them to stay but he said the best he

My family & I stayed at the Miami Hotel for 5 days and I have to say it was one of the most enjoyable stays we have had. Miami Hotel is so close to everything in Melbourne - the CBD is a short free tram ride, Queen Victoria Markets a easy stroll away, Marvel Stadium is walking distance away. But the best feature of the hotel were the staff - Mia was so helpful prior to our stay and was even more helpful while we were there and the rest of the team made it such a stress free stay. The rooms were great - basic but that was exactly what we wanted. Highly recommended for anyone looking for accomodation

Horrible customer service. Waited an hour to get into a pre-booked and paid room at 2am, Our room was given to other guests and we were left with their room which didn’t fit the criteria of the room we paid for. Employee tried to disguise room to fit our booking by pushing two single beds together and chucking a sheet over it and then returning to us to say “a double bed yes?”… indicating that we were going to be given a room and bed we paid for…
If things couldn’t be more painful the room appeared not cleaned as there were hairs in the shower… which during a pandemic we would hope

We booked this as a place to stay on a night out and were pleasantly surprised. The beds were very comfortable, it was quiet and very clean. The rooms aren't large, but for around $100 a night in Melbourne CBD, it is fantastic value. The staff were friendly and hassle free. We even managed to get a free park on the street outside. We'll be back!

PARTY IN THE CITY WHEN THE HEAT IS ON ALL NIGHT ON THE BEACH TILL THE BREAK OF DAWN.
Okay, now that that's out of the way-The Miami Hotel is a budget accommodation in an excellent area of Melbourne. Walking distance to the central train station and music venue Festival Hall, and a short drive to hip areas such as Fitzroy. 25 minute walk to Melbourne museum. The rooms here are simple yet clean, and the beds are VERY comfortable and cozy.
The cons: The lighting is similar to that of a prison-fluorescent and overhead, and the shower is either ice cold or dangerously hot. The wifi is horrible

A great place to stay and explore Melbourne
I arrived after midnight, and was greeted with a warm and friendly welcome which was much appreciated.
The hostel is clean and comfortable enough for a long stay. I had a fridge in my room, and the shared kitchen was on the floor above. The kitchen is small, but it was fine for me. All the staff are friendly and helpful, and readily booked my tour and transfer and advised on things to do locally.
There is noise from the corridor but you can get that in any hotel anywhere in the world

The Miami Hotel specializes in providing budget accommodation for groups, families, backpackers and schools. When arriving in Melbourne, this was where the uni put me up while I searched for my own accommodation. This meant sharing bunk beds with 3 other Masters Students (2 bunk beds in fact, you do the match!).
They put on special rates especially for this purpose and doing my 3 weeks the staff were really friendly. The location is fairly prime. It's right next to the pretty cool Errol Street, a 5 min walk to Victoria Markets, and only a 15 min walk into the CBD.
I actually went on to
