Our team of trainers have a diverse range of skills, each with their own unique experience and achievements in the Fitness Industry. Most of us have excelled in our chosen sports, Athletics, Soccer, Triathlons, Swimming, AFL, League, Surf Life Saving, Distance Running, Sprinting. Some of us have undertaken our own personal weigh loss journeys and others have had experience with training people with disabilities.
Our skills and experience help us provide you with the best fitness training and gym classes to get you the results you deserve. We operate at three locations around Wollongong: UniActive Gym for personal training and some classes, South Beach Wollongong for our outdoor group classes, Beaton Park Leisure Centre Track for sprint training classes and coaching.

Our team of enthusiastic trainers are all Fitness Australia registered, each providing a comprehensive and goal oriented service based on your individual lifestyle needs and ambitions.
EXPERIENCE: Starting in the Fitness Industry in 2000 after his career in athletics was finalising due to injury, Lukas followed his passion and pursued a career in the fitness industry. As a National Champion he won 5 national gold medals, and 8 state gold medals in the 100 and 200 meter races. He also played representative rugby league for the Illawarra Steelers RLFC in the junior ranks.

Join our friendly team and choose from 14 classes per week including KFF and Sprint training. Offering classes outside at South Beach Wollongong or at UniActive Gym Innovation Campus, North Wollongong. We have wet weather venue at Wollongong City Surf Life Saving club- SLSC Hall for morning classes and Uniactive Innovation Campus for the evening, ensures that our classes operate all year round.

I’ve been training at Chodat for nearly 10 years and the staff are all great people, very motivating and kind. I’ve made some great friendships there over the years and have always felt comfortable and relaxed in the gym. It’s not pretentious at all like some gyms can be it’s a family friendly place to work out.

I started with Chodat Team is 2015 with a 2 year break due to a shoulder operation. Meanwhile I have been doing PTs with Peter and going to Physio. I'm now back with the Chodat team. This is helping me with my Physical and Mental health, especially coffee afterwards with the guys. Lukas Chodat and Staff are Fantastic.

I have been a long-term client of Chodat Fitness and still enjoy the outdoor group sessions as much as the first day I joined. Although I'm a hell of a lot fitter and stronger than I used to be!! As a 47yo I'm in better shape now than I was in my 20s thanks to a lifestyle of regular exercise and clean eating.
The sessions at Chodat are always challenging but rewarding with friendly and approachable trainers. I highly recommend Chodat Fitness.

When I joined Chodat I felt overweight(very) and unfit but was encouraged to give a PT session a try and see how I felt. Emily from Chodat tailored a workout just for me and reassured me at every step. I haven’t looked back since and I can do push-ups!!!! I have been attending Chodat Fitness now for over 2 years. Since I started, my levels of fitness have improved dramatically. I am able to run longer distances, lift heavier weights and push myself beyond what I thought I was able to do.
