We use mixed Pilates equipment such as the Pilates Reformer, Trapeze Table, Wunda Chair, Ladder Barrel, Spine Corrector, Ballet Barre, Spring Wall, Bodhi Suspension System, etc.

Pilates Bodyworks South Yarra believes no two bodies are the same. Our mission is to work towards each individual's unique needs and goals. We offer private, semi-private and small group classes (maximum of 4 people) tailored to suit your specific goals and needs. Classes incorporate mixed equipment and mat-based exercises.
Everybody's fitness goals are different. You may be doing Pilates to improve strength or flexibility, tone up specific areas or improve your posture. Smaller classes allow us to customise your program to achieve your goals. Your workout will be tailored to suit your needs. Unlike big group classes where you get minimal or no correction, we want you to get the time and attention you need.
Private Classes allow you to get the most from your workout. When you have our highly qualified and experienced trainers all to yourself, you can go through exercises in greater depth, and get a better understanding of what it takes to perform the exercises with the right form and efficiency. This is absolutely invaluable to getting the best results from your Pilates practice.
As we get older, staying active and strong, maintaining fitness and mobility will help prevent our joints from wear-and-tear. Many forms of exercise can be hard on the bodies of older adults and make them more susceptible to injuries. At Pilates Bodyworks South Yarra, our over-50's Pilates classes are dedicated for the older adults in our community to help them gain strength and achieve fitness.
Many fit men find themselves feeling stiff and inflexible. Our programs focus on stretch, release and spinal articulation exercises which will help prevent injuries and muscle strains. This in turn improves your overall mobility and increases your range of motion. Our programs are designed to strengthen the deep abdominal and pelvic floor muscles, which provide support to your back.

I have been doing Pilates at this studio for many years now. It is the only form of regular exercise that I do each week. This itself has helped me maintain my flexibility and strength. Every class only has a small group of 3 to 4 people therefore we are constantly coached throughout to exercises that suit our needs. I have tried many other forms of exercises in other studios but this by far the most personalised for what you want to achieve and the teachers are extremely knowledgeable. I would highly recommend anyone to join.

I’ve been doing pilates at Pilates Bodyworks South Yarra every week for about 3 years now. Throughout that time the instructors there have not only helped me recover from various sports injuries, but has also worked to strengthen general imbalances in my body leading to a more general feeling of strength and wellness.
The small classes, and individually tailored programs, mean that everyone gets the required attention, and is able to work at their own pace, towards their own goals.
I would recommend this pilates studio without hesitation.

I've been attending Pilates Bodyworks in South Yarra for over five years now and couldn't recommend Karen and the team more highly. I first started seeing Karen when I moved to South Yarra and have since attended classes on various days/times with a number of different instructors too. Despite being in a class with up to three other people, I always feel as though I'm getting a very tailored, individualised service. (Note: You can opt to attend individual classes too). Pilates helped me get in shape for my wedding, stay fit in the lead up to the birth of my first child, and get my core strength

Starting Pilates has changed my life. I love it for the physical benefits - stronger, leaner, more flexible and over all health. Mentally too I feel so much better stretching out after a hard days work in a stressful profession. Karen and her team are awesome and no bigger groups than 4 which was important to me given I’m so intimidated by big group environments. Being plus size also have shied away from large groups but this is just so welcoming and relaxed. Each class is tailored to your specific needs and literally look forward to classes rather than dragging myself somewhere. Every person

I have been doing pilates with Pilates Bodyworks for over 5 years. I look forward to every session. My core strength and general mobility has improved substantially as well as my underlying strength. The team at Pilates Bodyworks were SO helpful in organising a voucher for my mum who is older. I wanted to make sure the classes would be suitable for a more senior person and they answered all my questions, put together a voucher and posted it to her all in a day! There information was really clear and I can't wait for my mum to try a class out.
