Yebisu Bar & Grill is located in China Town in Central Sydney which is located at the intersection of Dixon Street and Little Hay Street. IZAKAYA food is well known for its trendy tapas-like dishes. We serve smaller portions at our restaurant so that you can enjoy a greater variety of selections from our menu.
Another meaning for the word "IZAKAYA" in Japan is "sake dining place". Needless to say, we, as an Izakaya, have a great variety of drinks with more than 100 items for you to select. Not only will you find your favourite beer, but you will also find yourself beholding some of the finest Sake, Shochu (or Japanese Vodka) and non-alcoholic Mocktails.

Lovely spot for dates and small groups, with tablet menus, broad selection of Western / Japanese drinks and foods. Definitely a great drinking and bar food spot to drop as part of the Sydney Nightlife. Decor and ambience well fitting with smooth jazz and care placed in creating a great environment for dining

Oh wow this place has a strong marketing team. Everything is put together perfectly. This is a very themed izakaya. It's an upstairs affair in the middle of Chinatown.
The entrance area is a little bit dingy and there's no reception at all. You just kind of wander into the main restaurant past the barrier with the sterilisers. A lot of Bruce Lee references make it a theme. Everything is painted even the ceiling. A Japanese pub decorated with Bruce Lee, Chinese writing on the wall etc. I guess it's aimed at Chinese tour groups. You can see the management is Chinese.

Portions are incredibly small and quite expensive. The wagyu steak tasted pretty good but the salmon was very overcooked. The sushi on the menus showed that there was 8 pieces in each portion but ours only came with 4. The steam rice was also using jasmine rice and not Japanese rice which was a shame. We will probably not return here!

I've come to Yebisu many times over the past couple years and I've always loved the atmosphere they provide there! The service has always been outstanding and I never leave feeling disappointed. Whilst the food is a little pricey, the servings are very reasonable and I don't mind paying the little bit extra for the experience that you get overall. I have never been treated rudely by staff nor have I ever felt upset at their level of service. I love this place and love supporting their business! Their fusion food is also really delicious! I definitely recommend you check it out at least once. It

If you're in Sydney, don't miss out on this place! The food was amazing and the Sake collection was as impressive as tasty. We received a recommendation by the manager and fell in love with the sake he chose for us. When we left we asked for the name of our waitresses, Yoshi.
Her hospitality was one of a kind. Seriously, I never had such a friendly hostess! Thank you to everyone for this experience. Definetly worth 5 Stars! (Visited on 15.11 around 5.30pm)
