Peninsula Yoga On Gnostic
This class offers traditional yoga practices and classic yoga poses incorporating a combination of laying, seated and standing poses. A series of static postures sequenced to stretch, strengthen, mobilise the body and focus the mind. This class utilises a variety of props to stretch the body in passive positions and incorporates classic yoga poses to release muscular tension.

This class allows you to let go of the working week and chill out for the weekend or just simply relax and take a break from your normal crazy routine. This class will improve the quality of sleep and clear your mind. You will be led through a gentle stretching routine, introduced to relaxing yoga poses and specific breathing practices culminating in a guided relaxation routine aimed at slowing down your active mind.
Services
As the only traditional Yoga Studio in Woy Woy we offer Yoga practices in a dedicated room that is air conditioned, carpeted and fully equipped. Parking is easily available on the street and in the Council car park across the road, bicycle racks have been installed and we're very close to public transport.
John Wilson is the founder and principle teacher at Peninsula Yoga. John is a true local, having been a resident of the Woy Woy Peninsula for 30 years and has offered Yoga classes for the past 15 years. John was introduced to Yoga on advise from a Chiropractor after suffering a serious spinal injury.

Thank you John & Maureen for today’s Saturday Spiritual class. The gentle yet effective stretches were perfect for all levels of ability, and yoga nidra the perfect precursor for the crystal bowl sound healing. The power of the crystal bowls blows me away. Even via zoom, the power of the healing isn’t lost, and I found myself once again in much less physical pain afterwards, as well as feeling relaxed and grounded. 🙏 🧘‍♀️

In these times of not being connected in real time classes I’m so happy to know John and his tribe are offering ‘live on line’ yoga classes....a perfect way to do the body and mind good plus get to chat with others almost like a class but you don’t have to worry how and where you are!!!! Highly recommend these classes so easy and in John’s usual calm way leading you through a workout with the odd snicker ‘joke’ to alleviate the world events! Get on them folks 👏🤗♥️

Lovely, friendly teachers and a beautiful space with a variety of classes. I always leave the studio feeling super relaxed and ready for anything. John and the team have built a wonderful community here. The recent online Zoom classes have also been great! thanks guys 💜

John is a fantastic yoga teacher and I always look forward to my classes here! I always leave feeling calm, refreshed and renewed from a nice body+mind work out. I love John's humor and the relaxed approach to yoga that he brings through his teaching. I was a beginner when I started with John and found the class very welcoming and easy to follow due to verbal guiding. Now that I have more experience, I find the verbally guided approach just as useful in maintaining correct postures and breaths for each stance.
