We acknowledge that all the yoga methods come from the same lineage and each one provides an enormous variety of physical benefits. It is important to understand that every body is different and that what is beneficial for one person, may not be suitable for another. At Umina Beach Yoga there are a wide ranges of yoga styles.not to confuse or impress you, but to ensure there is a class that suits you best.
Flow, like a dance, is a yoga practice which builds flexibility, strength and balance, while maintaining focus on good alignment. Awareness stays with the breath while moving through a series of postures. These sequences are designed to support the body and mind through the changing seasons of the year.
A slow, mindful practice suitable for all including older students and those recovering from illness or injury. A breath led class combining a mix of slow gentle flow, somatic movement and restorative yoga postures. This class is nourishing and perfect for nervous system balancing. With a fifteen minute deluxe Savasana, it is the perfect antidote to modern life.
Yoga Nidra is a deeply, gentle relaxation and meditation practice. Restorative Yoga is the most gentle practise using bolsters and blankets to support the body in simple poses. Students will be advised of what props they will need for class. No effort required. Just let go and allow your body to release, rest and relax.

One of the best and most welcoming yoga studios I've ever been too around the world. Great for all ages. Helen is so kind she will make you feel comfortable in your first lesson! The other teachers are also amazing and also contribute to the warm and fun atmosphere of the place. I would recommend to anybody from beginners to advanced Yogis! Their website is very helpful for prices and timetables.

Umina Beach Yoga is brilliant! convenient location with lots of classes, styles and dedicated instructors, It's more like a welcoming, happy community than a yoga studio. even during cov19 Umina Beach Yoga has helped us all through it with live online classes. personally it keeps my back feeling good and i also find it quite calming : )

I love going to this yoga studio!
From the first class I went to at Umina Beach Yoga 6 months ago, I have enjoyed my yoga more than I ever have.
The classes I attend have mainly been with Carolyn and Helen .
Both women in their individual styles are nurturing ,caring and supportive throughout their yoga classes/practice. The classes I attend provide me with all I need to begin my day, in the right way !

I am loving the online yoga, I have been trying out different rooms in the house, bedroom, lounge room and the back deck under the trees (my fav). It is great to see all the other students on the screen continuing on with their practice. Thankyou so much to Carolyn, Helen and everyone at the studio for all that you give to the community. I am feeling blessed.

Upon entering Umina yoga I was greeted by Carolyn who was lovely and helpful. I did her Hatha class and it really suited me. She explained things in an easy to understand way for a beginner like me and offered alternatives for more advanced members of the class. She had a calm voice and and gentle way of teaching . My back and hips feel so much better even after one class. It was relaxing yet challenging which was the right combination. I’ll be back for sure !
